The Freedom in Finding Your Truth

Out of all the self development strategies and skills I’ve learned over the years, the ones that actually work are the ones that help me see where I’ve abandoned my own sense of truth.

From birth we start absorbing messages about how we need to modify ourselves to fit in.

Messages like….

“Don’t cry”

“Quiet down”

“Be a good girl/boy”

“Color in the lines”

“Don’t do that”

“Pink is for girls, blue is for boys”

It’s the water we’re swimming in. No wonder our innate sense of direction can get all fogged up.

When the pressures to “fit in” split us off from our essence, we lose connection to our Truth and inherent wholeness.

We ALL have our own unique GPS system. An inner navigation that tells us when we’re headed in the wrong direction (but maybe, a part of you has been living with that “something is off” feeling for so long it almost seems normal).

The truth is, abandoning ourselves to fit in is normal in our culture - but it shouldn’t be this way!

The second we leave our truth, adrenaline goes up, our heart rate spikes, cortisol increases, our immune system goes to crap...you know the drill. It literally drains our life force...makes us sick, inflamed and allergic.

This is why polygraph (lie detector) tests actually do work. Your body doesn’t lie.

Imagine how much more Joy, Love and fulfillment would exist in the world if we all lived from our creative essence instead of shoving ourselves into tiny factory farmed boxes?

I don’t believe we came here to spend this precious life hiding from ourselves and our gifts.

I believe we came here to be fully expressed in all our beautiful, quirky, messy and magical glory.

Together.
